No, it’s not another remix of MJ’s Billie Jean. However, from listening to the similar sounding ‘chikka-cha’ drum taps at the intro of Miracle Fortress’ Everything Works, you’d be forgiven for thinking so. Everything works’ ‘80s reference’ only last about a second, until kooky cyber sounds kick in, making the song all about futuristic fun.

I can barely type this as my hands are aching from Bombay Bicycle Club’s gig last night at Brixton Academy. Who knew every track of theirs was so worthy of hands-above-your-head anthem-style clapping? I mean, I know their rhythms are particularly catchy, but it’s a totally different story listening to their live drum beats and melodic keyboard tunes – the audience just couldn’t help themselves. It was great! Not only do I feel more cultured, but fitter too.
