It’s been over three years since The Go! Teams last album “Proof of Youth” and six years since their debut album “Thunder, Lightning, Strike”, both of which redefined the way genres could be mixed and added a much needed dance element to the music scenes at the time. It’s a testament then to the brilliance of their two previous albums that no one has been able to match their unique fusion of hip hop, funk, soul, noise pop and pretty much every other style you’d care to mention. Since the bands formation, founding member and figurehead Ian Parton, has been on a quest to create the perfect pop masterpiece and has come pretty close so far.

      No, it’s not another remix of MJ’s Billie Jean. However, from listening to the similar sounding ‘chikka-cha’ drum taps at the intro of Miracle Fortress’ Everything Works, you’d be forgiven for thinking so. Everything works’ ‘80s reference’ only last about a second, until kooky cyber sounds kick in, making the song all about futuristic fun.
