According to the ever-reliable Wikipedia, The Datsuns formed over a decade ago. This information is surprising for one main reason: the band still sound like a bunch of teenage boys making immature music, full of excessive guitar solos and barely legible lyrics, in their parents’ garage. Furthermore, the track ‘Highschool Hoodlums’, from fourth album ‘Head Stunts’, has something awfully Bowling For Soup ‘High School Never Ends’ about it.

That is, grown men who had the time of their lives while still in education, and would do anything to go back. Aiming to create their finest work to date, The Datsuns are instead releasing an album of boringly similar songs that give nothing but the impression that they should perhaps grow up and move on from their garage-rock days.
