UNKLE will bring their intense and dramatic live experience to London when they play a very special show at the launch of hot new venue Matter on Friday September 19th. They will be joined live on stage for performances with past collaborators and music giants Ian Brown and Ian Astbury (The Cult).
It will be Brown's second ever live performance with UNKLE (the first was at the ecstatically received Brixton Academy gig earlier this year) and it will be Astbury's first live collaboration. This gig is a unique and exclusive opportunity to capture UNKLE's live show in some of the finest musical company around.

Also appearing with UNKLE live will be Gavin Clark, who contributed vocals to two tracks on 'War Stories' and five on the recently released 'End Titles… Stories for Film', and long term UNKLE collaborator Joel Cadbury.

Conceived by the people behind Fabric, Matter is a brand new 2,600 capacity venue based within the 02 Arena, complete with a state of the art soundsystem, a body kinetic dancefloor, and 360 degree visuals. Also live on the night are Late of the Pier and Iglu & Hartly, plus a dj set from Huw Stevens.

On 8th September, UNKLE will release 'Remix Stories (Volume One)' – released as a 12" and digitally, exclusively via Beatport for the first four weeks after the release. The 12" features four previously unreleased remixes of tracks taken from the last two albums ('War Stories' and the recently released 'End Titles… Stories for Film').

Lead track 'Trouble in Paradise – Variation on a Theme (UNKLE Remix)' is a remix of the original version 'Trouble in Paradise' featured on last years BMW TV advert and has had a huge amount of interest from the public, as well as being widely downloaded in the weeks since it's been shown.

The deliberate decision to make this release available on 12" was made in a bid to go back to UNKLE's roots (of dance music, pre-digital age) and to make 'Remix Stories' a collectible item for long standing fans. In their illustrious career, UNKLE have released an array of remixes on CD and download, so James Lavelle and company are here honouring their favourite format with some of the mixes they they've been proudest of over the last two albums.

Remixes come courtesy of legendary dance duo Layo and Bushwacka!, renowned house djs and remixers Innervisions, and one of today's most prolific producers Radio Slave.
