The Parlotones - ‘Louder Than Bombs’ (single review)

There’s no nice way to say that something is rubbish. Sometimes you mean to tell a friend their new haircut is “a bit different” but come out with “your hair’s GONE” by accident. And whilst the polite thing to say about ‘Louder Than Bombs’ is that, yes, it is quite loud, the truth is, it reminds me of the band comprised of sweaty thirteen year old boys who always play the school’s annual talent show but never gain any more fans.

For The Parlotones, however, this appears not to have been the case since they have won South African Music Awards and their two albums have gone gold. It seems sometimes the floppy haired geek in the Ramones t-shirt makes it. Don’t ignore his advances at the school disco.
