Death Cab For Cutie – ‘Narrow Stairs’ (album review)
Narrow Stairs is seventh album the American indie rock stalwarts Death Cab For Cutie, it capitalises on their fantastic unique sound though throws something different into the mix when compared to some of their previous work. It retains their euphoric and atmospheric style, and the varied direction that they have taken on this album has given it an almost spiritual standing with me.
Narrow stairs can only really be described as a master piece as each song takes on different level of power inciting a range of different emotions. It brings back memories of fond times and wills you to enjoy the future times to create them.
Its impossible to pick out standout tracks from this album as every song stands on its own merits. You can't possibley describe the album as anything less that brilliant with intelligent and perfectly formed lyrics, this is sure to be one of 2008's great albums.
This album is more a musical journey of exploration than just a regular album. Its elegant, informed, emotive and it’s without a doubt that I can say that they have produced a monumental album!
