Blood Red Shoes announce new single and tour (news / gigs)

Fresh from the release of their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Box Of Secrets’ ...Blood Red Shoes unleash 'This Is Not For You' on June 30th.
Since the release,Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell have been doing the trademark non-stop touring of the UK and Europe; they have been storming their way through Holland, Germany, France and every other country that can handle their raucous live show. The Brighton duo caused mayhem throughout the UK with stage invasions happening every other night and their schedule doesn’t look set to slow down either .The Summer see’s them knee deep in festivals dates across Europe, including a special one-off appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival with Babyshambles and then popping back to our shores in August for Reading and Leeds. After a short break, the pair will be back on the road in the UK during October with another headline tour.

The third single from their album; ‘This Is Not For You’ is a signature BRS track. The pair showcase the experimentalism of duelling male/female vocals, racing drum beats and speeding guitars that come to a crashing climax;
"This track is about being in a situation or relationship where you know there is something very wrong but you choose ingore it and just act like everything is alright. Its one of the last songs we wrote on the album and its our favorite song on there."
'This Is Not For You' which will feature 2 new b-sides, is slated for release on June 30th through V2 Records.
