The Shortwave Set – 'No Social' (single review)

The first offering from their second album, 'No Social' is a lazy and interesting bit of down-tempo, meandering through verses and a barely-there chorus yet still working its way under your skin.

The beautiful beat riding beneath sly electronica conjures images of a 1960s gangster flick, if it were set on a British beach with the strains of pier-music in the background. In combination with some delightful vocals, and provided you can ignore the silly and slightly pretentious lyrics, it makes for an excellent little tune.
