Midnight Juggernauts – 'Shadows' (single review)

In an age of repetitive guitar bands and manufactured nonsense, Australian space-rockers Midnight Juggernauts present a hazy, addictive mini-symphony, reminiscent of a dialled-down, passive-aggressive Muse.

A tantalising beat and soft vocals give it a surreal edge; the ideal soundtrack for a late-night/early-morning rave – infectious enough to keep you swaying just as you start to flag, but soothing enough not to finish you off completely. The chorus lyrics - “Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow today” make it particularly appropriate.

'Shadows' is a dreamy, promising journey into a new world of gentle but insistent synth. Look out for the album, making its' global appearance in May.
