Duffy – ‘Mercy’ (single review) | noize makes enemies.co.uk

Soul is back with a vengeance at the moment, and it doesn’t get much cooler than this new single release from Welsh singer Duffy. A sassy groove that sounds like it could have come out of the sixties, married with her fantastic vocal style, this song is a real winner.

Duffy is certainly going to be one to watch in the coming year – she’s already sang alongside the legendary Eddie Floyd. With an incredibly strong backing band behind her, including ex-Suede guitarist and indie hero Bernard Butler, get ready to see her tearing up stages near you pretty soon.
